The first poster for Michael Sarnoski’s The Death of Robin Hood, starring Hugh Jackman, has been revealed. It is confirmed that the official trailer is set to drop tomorrow. See the poster below.

The film is written and directed by Sarnoski, and it follows Robin Hood (Jackman) as he grapples with his past after a life of crime while in the care of a mysterious woman following an injury.
Speaking to EW, Sarnoski says that The Death of Robin Hood title suggests the legendary character is at the end of his life and reflecting on his past. “He was this murderous outlaw who did a lot of terrible things and was kind of monstrous. But he’s lived long enough to see this folklore get created about him. He’s figuring out how he feels about that—about being portrayed as a hero when he knows what he really was.”
The Death of Robin Hood is Sarnoski’s first feature shot on 35mm film. “There’s a charge that it gives you—we’re burning film right now; this is the real deal. There’s something about being in real, epic, scopey locations and shooting on film that feels like you’re capturing something.”
The film stars Jackman as Robin Hood, alongside Jodie Comer, Bill Skarsgård as Little John, Murray Bartlett, and Noah Jupe.
The Death of Robin Hood will hit theaters in 2026, distributed by A24.
