James Gunn has shared the first teaser for the upcoming Peacemaker Season 2, scheduled for release in 2025 on Max.
“On X, Gunn wrote, “No matter how far away we are from each other, no one will ever break us apart.” DC Studios’ Peacemaker Season 2 debuts on Max in 2025.”
In the 9-second teaser, we see the return of the 11th Street Kids, along with a first look at Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., who is out for vengeance for his son, Rick Flag Jr. Sol Rodríguez also appears as Sasha Bordeaux, an ARGUS agent.
The show is set in the DC Universe (DCU) and serves as a “soft reboot” of the series, which originated as a spin-off from the 2021 DC Extended Universe (DCEU) film—The Suicide Squad. It is produced by DC Studios with Gunn as the showrunner.
John Cena returns as Christopher Smith, also known as Peacemaker, alongside Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo, Freddie Stroma as Adrian Chase/Vigilante, Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt, Steve Agee as John Economos, Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Rodríguez as Sasha Bordeaux, and Tim Meadows as Langston Fleury, with David Denman appearing in an undisclosed role.
Peacemaker season 2 will premiere on Max in 2025 and will have eight episodes.
