Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World had its world premiere at the Chinese Theater in Los Angeles on February 11, 2024.
For the red carpet premiere, several MCU stars appeared, including main stars Anthony Mackie, Danny Ramirez, and Harrison Ford. They were joined by Liv Tyler, Kathryn Newton, Don Cheadle, Lewis Pullman, Giancarlo Esposito, Xochitl Gomez, Xosha Roquemore, Carl Lumbly, Auli’i Cravalho, Tim Blake Nelson, and more.

According to Variety, during the world premiere, pro-Palestine protesters arrived, holding signs that said, “Disney Supports Genocide,” “Boycott Captain America,” and “Sabra Has Got to Go.” The protest was about the character Sabra, played by Shira Haas. Producer Nate Moore confirmed that Marvel changed Sabra’s origin, now connecting her to Black Widow’s Red Room. Because of the protest, Marvel stopped the live stream of the event.

Here’s the plot details for Captain America: Brave New World:
In Captain America: Brave New World, after executing a successful mission in Mexico, Sam (Mackie) and his partner Joaquin/Falcon (Ramirez) are invited to the White House to meet with President Ross (Ford). He asks Sam, the new Captain America, to reconstitute the Avengers Initiative. However, they almost immediately square off on opposite sides when an assassination attempt occurs.
The film is produced by Kevin Feige and Nate Moore under Marvel Studios.
Captain America: Brave New World will have a runtime of 1 hour and 58 minutes and will hit theaters, including IMAX, on February 14, 2025.
