According to Dior, For Maria Grazia Chiuri, each collection is an opportunity to reflect on what exactly clothing is in relationship to the body and to fashion. The reinterpretation of the 1950s – for this Dior autumn-winter 2023-2024 ready-to-wear line – is also a means for the Creative Director to explore, in ever-new ways, the history of Dior and to further delve into French style by focusing on three extraordinary figures: Catherine Dior, Édith Piaf, and Juliette Gréco. These three women shared an independent spirit that guided their choices. Singular protagonists, each of them were able, through their lifestyle, to subvert feminine stereotypes that were part of the post-war mindset.
Gal Gadot began her career as a model before transitioning into acting. She made her acting debut in an Israeli TV series called “Bubot” in 2007. Gadot gained international recognition for her portrayal of Wonder Woman in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) films. She first appeared as the character in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” in 2016, before starring in her own standalone film, “Wonder Woman,” in 2017. She reprised the role in “Justice League” later that year, and again in “Wonder Woman 1984” in 2020.
In addition to her role in the DCEU, Gadot has appeared in other movies, such as “The Fast & Furious” franchise, “Keeping Up with the Joneses”, “Criminal” and “Death on the Nile“.
