Harris Dickinson plays a fireman in Steve McQueen‘s WWII film ‘Blitz,’ alongside Saoirse Ronan. He describes the film as a “cool homage to my granddad’s generation.“
What is the Plot of ‘Blitz’?
‘Blitz’ follows the stories of a group of Londoners during the events of the British capital bombing in World War II. As per Collider, The bravery and strength required of the British people during this time are very commendable, and we are looking forward to seeing how the film portrays life during this difficult time on the big screen. It is crazy to think that these historical events occurred not too long ago, with many people being alive today to remember them. Some people still carry the trauma of the bombings and their memories are living history.
The film also stars Leigh Gill, Erin Kellyman, Stephen Graham, Paul Weller, Kathy Burke, Benjamin Clementine, Hayley Squires, and Sally Messham.
Dickinson also stars with Emma Corrin in ‘A Murder at the End of the World’, and rocks a blond mullet in ‘The Iron Claw’, a wrestling biopic about the Von Erich family. There are rumors that Dickinson is being considered for the lead in the new Superman film or starring in an erotic thriller with Nicole Kidman, but he hasn’t revealed it yet.
The film is produced by Steve McQueen, Arnon Milchan, Yariv Milchan, Eric Fellner, Tim Bevan, and Michael Schaefer. The production companies are Apple Studios, New Regency Productions, Lammas Park, and Working Title Films.
‘Blitz’ is an Apple original film and will be released on Apple TV+. It might hit theaters first. The film is scheduled to release in 2024, and filming is underway right now.
