Directed by Justin Simien from a screenplay by Katie Dipold. The film’s producers are Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich, with Nick Reynolds and Tom Peitzman serving as executive producers.
In the film, Madame Leota begins as one of the hidden relics within the house, but her character evolves into a functional and valuable ally. As explained by director Justin Simien, the character played by Jamie Lee Curtis transitions from a mere discovery to an essential part of the story. Simien said, “She starts off as one of the relics, one of the items, one of the aspects of the house that has to be discovered, but becomes a functional character and a useful ally in the film.”
‘Haunted Mansion’ will hit theaters in the United States on July 28, 2023.
