Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for Gareth Evans’ Havoc, starring Tom Hardy as Walker, a bruised detective who fights his way through the criminal underworld. Watch the trailer above.
Here’s the plot details for Havoc:
After a drug deal gone wrong, a bruised detective (Hardy) must fight his way through a criminal underworld to rescue a politician’s estranged son, while unravelling a deep web of corruption and conspiracy that ensnares his entire city.

The film also stars Forest Whitaker, Timothy Olyphant, Justin Cornwell, Jessie Mei Li as Ellie, Yeo Yann Yann, Xelia Mendes-Jones as Johnny, Serhat Metin as Cortez, Quelin Sepulveda, Luis Guzmán, Sunny Pang, Michelle Waterson, Richard Pepper, Tony Parker, and Megan Lockhurst.
Havoc is a high-octane action thriller written and directed by Evans (The Raid, Gangs of London). In a recent interview with Empire, Evans confirmed that Havoc will deliver exactly what fans expect from a Hardy–Evans collaboration—intense, action-packed storytelling. He states that Hardy’s “intensely muscular” central performance is backed by a well-developed character with depth.
Evans said, “That’s the primary focus. But with Tom, what you get as well is an intensely muscular central performance, and really well-developed character. There’s a lot going on under the hood.” Evans added, “He’s basically on clean-up duty,” explains Evans, “and he has to navigate this broken city in order to get to him first. That’s the propulsive mission he goes on, and because it’s me, it doesn’t go well for a long time.”
Produced by Evans, Hardy, Ed Talfan, and Aram Tertzakian, with production companies including One More One, Severn Screen, and XYZ Films.
When will Havoc premiere on Netflix?
