HBO revealed six new cast members for ‘The White Lotus‘ Season 3, with casting starting after the SAG-AFTRA strike and ongoing negotiations for additional actors.
Who are the new cast members joining Season 3 of ‘The White Lotus’?
In Season 3, Leslie Bibb, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, Dom Hetrakul, and Tayme Thapthimthong are set to join returning cast member Natasha Rothwell, reprising her Season 1 role as Belinda.
The new installment, set in Thailand, is scheduled to start filming in and around Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok in February 2024. It will follow a new group of guests at another White Lotus property. Originally planned for Japan, the location was shifted to Thailand to take advantage of a 30% tax rebate.
In a statement, Mike White, the showrunner, said, “It’s going to be a supersized White Lotus.” White added, “It’s going to be longer, bigger, and crazier. I don’t know what people will think, but I am super excited, so at least for my own barometer, that’s a good thing.”
HBO announced “The White Lotus” Season 3 in November 2022. Season 1 won 10 Emmy awards, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series. Jennifer Coolidge also won a Golden Globe for Season 2, which was named Best Limited Series. The show received two SAG awards, one for Best TV Drama Ensemble and another for Jennifer Coolidge’s performance.
White also serves as an executive producer alongside David Bernad and Mark Kamine.
