Iman Vellani revealed that she wants Kamala Khan to collect ‘Young Avengers’ like Infinity Stones.
In ‘The Marvels‘ post-credits scene, Kamala meets Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop, extending an invitation to join the ‘Young Avengers’ initiative.
In an interview with Yahoo Entertainment, Vellani said, “Hailee and I had a really fun back and forth.” Vellani speaks of that post-credits scene, which finds Kamala inviting Kate to be part of a ‘Young Avengers’ initiative. Vellani added, “Tonally, it wouldn’t have made sense if we kept joking about [the Young Avengers team], but we were having so much fun bouncing off each other.”
What characters are on Iman Vellani’s wishlist for the ‘Young Avengers’?
Vellani wants Kamala to pick up the ‘Young Avengers’ like collecting Infinity Stones. Apart from Kate and possibly Cassie Lang, the full lineup is undecided. Vellani’s wishlist includes Ironheart, Kid Loki, Patriot, and the potential addition of Billy and Tommy (Wanda and Vision’s twin boys), albeit less fleshed out in the MCU.
Vellani said, “Besides Kate, Kamala, and possibly Ant-Man’s daughter, Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton), the lineup for the Young Avengers has yet to be determined. But you’d better believe that Vellani has a wish list.”
Vellani says, “Ironheart would be fun. Well, him and Patriot, I guess. And maybe Billy and Tommy, although they aren’t as fleshed out in the MCU yet.” Vellani added, “I’m excited to see if any of those storylines go anywhere. I would like for [Young Avengers] to be a movie. I want Kamala to collect them all like Infinity Stones, and then we have one epic battle.”
