The new Anaconda reboot, starring Jack Black, Paul Rudd, and Selton Mello, has wrapped filming, as confirmed by Mello in an Instagram post.
On Instagram, Mello shared an image of himself with Black and Rudd after the film’s wrap and wrote:
“The end of filming—an unforgettable experience. Paul Rudd and Jack Black, two great actors, but even better than that: two extraordinary people. It’s not a remake, it’s not a sequel—coming soon to a cinema near you. Steve, Thandiwe, Daniela—new friends, new learnings. I pack my bag, very happy for what I lived—new paths, new experiments. Tom, Kevin, Sony Pictures, cast & crew.”

Anaconda follows a group of friends facing mid-life crises as they attempt to remake their favorite childhood movie. Their journey takes them deep into the rainforest, where they soon find themselves battling natural disasters, giant snakes, and violent criminals. The cast includes Jack Black as Doug McCallister, a wedding videographer; Paul Rudd as Ronald Griffen “Griff” Jr., a background actor; Selton Mello as Santiago Braga; Daniela Melchior as Ana Almeida; Thandiwe Newton as Claire Simons, a friend of Doug and Griff; Steve Zahn as Kenny Trent, another friend of Doug and Griff; and Ione Skye as Malie McCallister, Doug’s wife.
Directed by Tom Gormican and written by Gormican and Kevin Etten, the film is the sixth installment in the Anaconda series and a reimagining of the 1997 film directed by Luis Llosa, which starred Jennifer Lopez and Ice Cube.
The film is produced by Brad Fuller and Andrew Form, with Columbia Pictures, TSG Entertainment, and Fully Formed Entertainment serving as the production companies.
Anaconda is set to hit theaters on December 25, 2025, by Sony Pictures Releasing.
