Jason Momoa has kicked off his celebration with a copy of the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow script following his casting in the film as Lobo.
On Instagram, Momoa shared a video with Adria Arjona celebrating the Lobo casting. He reads the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow script while holding a cigar, with the note “For Lobo’s eyes only.”
Filming is scheduled to begin on January 13, 2025, in England. Directed by Craig Gillespie from a screenplay by Ana Nogueira, based on the comic by Tom King and Bilquis Evely, it will be the second film in the DC Universe and the fourth installment of Chapter One: Gods and Monsters.
The film stars Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl, Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills, Eve Ridley as Ruthye, Momoa as Lobo, with more cast members to be announced once production begins.

James Gunn and Peter Safran are producing the film, with DC EVP Chantal Nong serving as the executive producer.
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow will fly into theaters on June 26, 2026.
