Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday is currently undergoing reshoots, and director Joe Russo says “it’s impossible to fully stop spoilers.”
According to Joe, audiences like surprises, and that makes movies more exciting. The focus is on making a strong story, not just big surprises. Also, he believes Avengers: Doomsday will be enjoyable even without surprises.

In a recent interview with Metro.co.uk, Joe Russo opened up about Avengers: Doomsday being spoiled:
He said, “On one hand, audiences want to be surprised, and that’s part of what makes the theatrical experience exciting. On the other hand, it can become a little over-policed, where people are anxious about engaging with anything.”
He added, “We design these films to unfold in a certain way, and we want audiences to feel those moments as intended. But at the same time, you can’t control everything. You have to focus on making something that holds up beyond the initial surprise.”
Recently, Joe Russo said the upcoming Avengers movies will follow a story style similar to the comics.
Joe said, “Serialized storytelling is the goal here. That’s the fun—that’s the mission—alongside making movies that bring people together. I’d argue there are very few movie companies in history that have brought people together the way that Marvel Studios movies have, fostering a sense of community in a theater.”
Here’s the new synopsis for Avengers: Doomsday from Walt Disney Studios:
“Beloved heroes from three distinct universes will be set on a deadly collision course and face an existential threat unlike anything they’ve ever encountered.”
