Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame theatrical re-release is scheduled for September 25, 2026, and is confirmed to include deleted scenes and other surprises. Endgame is expected to serve as a pillar for Avengers: Doomsday, directly linking past and future MCU events.
In an interview with Deadline, Joe Russo confirmed that the Avengers: Endgame re-release includes previously unreleased footage and new scenes that tie into the story of Avengers: Doomsday. He said, “It’s an opportunity to create a bridge from Endgame to Doomsday in a very unique way.”
Joe added, “It’s critically important to re-release the movie, and, in fact, we’ll be re-releasing the film with footage that is set in the Doomsday story that we have added to Avengers: Endgame.”

Joe described the upcoming Avengers: Endgame re-release as a “critical companion story” and a “setup for what you’re gonna watch in December when you see Avengers: Doomsday.”
At CinemaCon, Marvel Boss Kevin Feige confirmed that Avengers: Endgame is returning to theaters this September. It will feature “surprises” added to the film and will be released in the Infinity Vision system.
He also said that Avengers: Doomsday picks up where Avengers: Endgame left off while also going back to the X-Men.
Joe Russo said the upcoming Avengers films will unfold in a structure similar to the comics that inspired them.
“Serialized storytelling is the goal here,” he said. “That’s the fun, that’s the mission, alongside making movies that bring people together. I’d argue there are very few movie companies in history that have brought people together the way that Marvel Studios movies have, fostering a sense of community in a theater.”
