The digital release date for Karate Kid: Legends, starring Jackie Chan, Ralph Macchio, and Ben Wang, has been revealed. The film will be available to buy or rent on digital HD platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, Vudu, and Google Play Movies & TV starting August 26, 2025.
The film has scored 57% on Rotten Tomatoes, 6.6/10 on IMDb, 53% on Metacritic, and received an A– from CinemaScore.
Directed by Jonathan Entwistle with a screenplay by Rob Lieber, this is the sixth film in The Karate Kid franchise, following the 2010 movie The Karate Kid.

Karate Kid: Legends unites the iconic martial arts masters from one of the most beloved film franchises of all time to tell a completely new story full of action and heart. When kung fu prodigy Li Fong (Wang) relocates to New York City with his mother to attend a prestigious new school, he finds solace in a new friendship with a classmate and her father. But his newfound peace is short-lived after he attracts unwanted attention from a formidable local karate champion. Driven by a desire to defend himself, Li embarks on a journey to enter the ultimate karate competition. Guided by the wisdom of his kung fu teacher, Mr. Han (Chan), and the legendary Karate Kid, Daniel LaRusso (Macchio), Li merges their unique styles to prepare for an epic martial arts showdown.
The film also stars Joshua Jackson as Victor and Shaunette Renée Wilson as Ms. Morgan, alongside Sadie Stanley, Ming-Na Wen, Aramis Knight, Wyatt Oleff, Danny McBride, and Jennifer-Lyn.
