Pop star Katy Perry is playing Ms. Leopard in ‘Peppa Pig‘s 20th-anniversary special, set to release in 2024. The casting and filming for Ms. Leopard followed SAG-AFTRA rules and were finished before the strikes.
Created by Neville Astley and Mark Baker. Perry’s Ms. Leopard will be appearing in the episode called The Wedding Party Special in spring 2024. The show airs on Nickelodeon and Paramount+ in the U.S. Hasbro Entertainment still owns the franchise after selling eOne to Lionsgate earlier this year.
The series revolves around the adventures of Peppa Pig, a lovable anthropomorphic pig, and her family, which includes her younger brother George, her parents Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig, and a variety of other animal friends. Each episode typically follows a simple and relatable storyline that teaches young viewers about friendship, family values, and basic life lessons.
Perry has been in animated projects before, like The Simpsons and The Smurfs movie.
