The domestic weekend box office top 8 for May 31 – June 2, 2024, saw ‘Garfield‘ leading with $14.00M, followed by ‘IF‘ Movie at $10.80M, ‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga‘ at $10.75M, ‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’ at $8.80M, ‘The Fall Guy‘ at $4.20M, ‘The Strangers Movie‘ at $3.60M, ‘HAIKYU‘ at $3.50M, and ‘In A Violent Nature‘ at $2.12M.
‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’ has earned an 80% score on Rotten Tomatoes, a rating of 7.2/10 on IMDb, and a 78% rating on Fandango. Additionally, audiences gave it a B CinemaScore.
Directed by Wes Ball from a screenplay by Josh Friedman, Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, and Patrick Aison. The film stars Owen Teague as Cornelius, the chimpanzee son of Caesar, along with Freya Allan, Peter Macon, Eka Darville, Kevin Durand, Travis Jeffery, Neil Sandilands, Sara Wiseman, Lydia Peckham, Ras-Samuel Weld A’abzgi, William H. Macy, and Dichen Lachman.
