Marvel Announces New 'Captain America' Series by J. Michael Straczynski and Jesús Saiz

Michael Straczynski, an acclaimed writer, and filmmaker known for his work on titles like “Amazing Spider-Man” and “Thor.” The artist for the series will be Jesús Saiz, who has previously worked on books such as “The Punisher” and “Doctor Strange.”

Michael Straczynski revealed his goal to tell challenging and enjoyable stories, delving into the depths of Steve Rogers’ character in ways that may not have been explored previously. He said, “Overall, the goal is to do some really challenging stories, some really fun stories, and get inside Steve’s head to see who he really is in ways that may not have been fully explored before. If folks like what I did with Peter in Amazing Spider-Man, and Thor in, well… Thor, then they should give this a shot, because I’m really swinging for the bleachers in this one!”
