Following Avengers: Secret Wars, Marvel Studios has major plans for its next saga.
Walt Disney Studios has added three untitled Marvel films to its 2028–2029 release slate while removing two previously scheduled 2028 dates.
Marvel Updates Release Slate with New 2028–2029 Movie Dates

Here are Marvel Studios’ updated movie release dates, including three new ones:
- Spider-Man: Brand New Day — July 31, 2026 (co-production with Sony Pictures)
- Avengers: Doomsday — December 18, 2026
- Avengers: Secret Wars — December 17, 2027
- Untitled Marvel Film — May 5, 2028
- Untitled Marvel Film — July 28, 2028 (NEW)
- Untitled Marvel Film — December 15, 2028
- Untitled Marvel Film — May 4, 2029 (NEW)
- Untitled Marvel Film — July 13, 2029 (NEW)
The previously scheduled dates of February 18, 2028, and November 10, 2028, have been removed from the studio’s release calendar.
According to scooper MAJESTIC, the untitled MCU movies are:
- X-Men — May 5, 2028
- Black Panther 3 — July 28, 2028
- Deadpool 4 — December 15, 2028
- Doctor Strange 3 — May 4, 2029
- Fantastic Four 2 — July 13, 2029
Marvel Studios currently has several projects in active development, including X-Men, directed by Jake Schreier with a script by Michael Lesslie; Blade, which has faced multiple delays but still stars Mahershala Ali with Eric Pearson writing; Shang-Chi 2, which remains in development with Simu Liu expected to return; and Black Panther 3, now in development with Letitia Wright reprising Shuri and Denzel Washington reportedly in talks to join.
We previously reported that the upcoming MCU saga will mainly focus on cosmic, mutant, and supernatural elements. Midnight Sons will be “one of the events of the saga.”
Most recently, Marvel and Sony released the first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. It broke the GTA 6 trailer’s 24-hour record (475M) in under 12 hours, becoming the first trailer in history to surpass 500 million views in less than a day and reaching 718 million views in its first 24 hours.
