Marvel Studios has officially announced a new animated series titled ‘Eyes of Wakanda,’ scheduled for release on Disney+ in 2024.
Marvel Studios Animation introduces a new Black Panther-centric show for Disney+, officially titled ‘Eyes of Wakanda.’
The announcement was made during the world premiere event for What If…? Season 2, as revealed in a Disney press release. Confirmation of the title comes from Marvel Studios’ Head of Streaming, Television, and Animation, Brad Winderbaum.
At the event, Marvel revealed glimpses of ‘X-Men ’97‘ and ‘Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man‘ (formerly known as ‘Spider-Man: Freshman Year‘).
What is the Plot of ‘Eyes of Wakanda’?
In ‘Eyes of Wakanda,’ Throughout Wakandan history, brave warriors have been tasked to travel the world retrieving dangerous vibranium artifacts. This is their story.
Wakanda is located in East Africa and is one of the wealthiest nations in the Marvel Universe, thanks in large part to its vast reserves of vibranium. The nation’s economic strength contributes to its advanced technology and high standard of living for its citizens. Also, Wakanda has its own spiritual beliefs and practices, often tied to the Panther Goddess Bast. The Heart-Shaped Herb, which grants the powers of the Black Panther, is seen as a gift from the Panther Goddess.
The release date for ‘Eyes of Wakanda’ has not yet been announced.
