Did Elden Henson‘s Foggy Nelson really die in Daredevil: Born Again Episode 1, or did he just fake his death?
Recently, the official Daredevil account on Instagram posted a panel from The Secret Life of Foggy Nelson comic book series. In the comic series, Foggy fakes his own death and lives in witness protection.
This is when Foggy was stabbed to death by prison inmates in issue #82. Five issues later, in issue #87, it was revealed that the FBI had placed Foggy Nelson in witness protection.
In the above image, you can see Daredevil: Born Again features a building address with the number 468, possibly referencing Daredevil comic #468. In The Secret Life of Foggy Nelson, the issue reveals that Foggy Nelson joined the FBI’s witness protection program.

After many years, Daredevil is returning to our screens in a brand-new original series, Daredevil: Born Again, which is a continuation of the hit Netflix series.
Daredevil: Born Again follows Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), a blind lawyer with heightened abilities, as he fights for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) pursues his own political ambitions in New York. When their past identities begin to resurface, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course.
The series also stars Margarita Levieva, Deborah Ann Woll, Henson, Wilson Bethel, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki M. James, Kamar de los Reyes, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, and Michael Gandolfini, with Ayelet Zurer and Jon Bernthal.
Dario Scardapane serves as showrunner. Episodes are directed by Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead, Michael Cuesta, Nachmanoff, and David Boyd. All nine episodes are officially rated TV-MA.
