Marvel’s ‘Deadpool 3‘ is back in production, and leaks from the set are surfacing. Recent set photos capture Hugh Jackman‘s Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds‘ Deadpool in action, fighting Sabretooth from the original X-Men. See the leaked images below.
Sabertooth and Toad Set to Appear in ‘Deadpool 3’
According to reports, Sabertooth and Toad have been officially confirmed to appear in ‘Deadpool 3’. Sabretooth, played by Liev Schreiber, last appeared in ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine‘ (2009), where he is portrayed as Wolverine’s half-brother.
‘Deadpool 3’ is directed by Shawn Levy. In the film, Ryan Reynolds will reprise his role as Wade Wilson/Deadpool, alongside Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa Carlysle, Stefan Kapičić as Piotr Rasputin/Colossus, Rob Delaney as Peter, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and new additions Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen. The script is penned by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Zeb Wells, Reynolds, and Levy. Recently, The first look at Ryan Reynolds in the Deadpool costume for Marvel’s ‘Deadpool 3‘ has leaked online.
According to the film’s plot: In Deadpool 3, Wade Wilson/Deadpool is arrested for time crimes involving Cable’s device in Deadpool 2. The TVA returns Cable to his original time and confiscates his time travel technology. Deadpool gets leniency and helps the TVA on a mission. Wanda’s spirit inhabits another Wanda’s body, leading to a new world where Magneto rules and mutants are the majority. Logan hijacks the TVA device to change history and ends up in different Fox worlds. Deadpool enlists Fox’s (X-men) heroes in a fight against Magneto, resulting in chaos and casualties. Wanda is depowered and banished by the TVA, and Deadpool and others are sent to the main MCU timeline. Logan searches for mutants while Deadpool finds Blind Al in his bed.
Marvel Studios has reportedly chosen to release only ‘Deadpool 3’ in 2024. Their strong confidence in the film’s success has led them to expect positive responses from both box office performance and critics, aiming to reignite excitement among MCU fans. (Note: several MCU films scheduled for 2024 are delayed due to the strikes.)
