Marvel Studios has released a new ‘Deadpool & Wolverine‘ trailer, which shows the first look at Tyler Mane reprising his role as Sabretooth, fighting Hugh Jackman‘s Wolverine. The scene is reminiscent of the 2000s X-Men movie, where Wolverine was attacked by Sabretooth on the road. See the trailer below.
During the filming itself, leaked footage of Wolverine vs. Sabretooth was leaked. ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is so special for X-Men fans because Marvel has added most of Fox’s X-Men characters. The plot is a multiverse-saving genre.
In the Shawn Levy-directed film, Ryan Reynolds will reprise his role as Wade Wilson/Deadpool, alongside Jackman as Wolverine, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa Carlysle, Stefan Kapičić as Piotr Rasputin/Colossus, Rob Delaney as Peter, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Jennifer Garner as Elektra, and new additions Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen. The script is penned by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Zeb Wells, Reynolds, and Levy.
Here’s the official synopsis for Deadpool & Wolverine:
Marvel Studios presents their most significant mistake to date—”Deadpool & Wolverine.” A listless Wade Wilson toils away in civilian life. His days as the morally flexible mercenary, Deadpool, behind him. When his homeworld faces an existential threat, Wade must reluctantly suit-up again with an even more reluctantlier… reluctanter? Reluctantest? He must convince a reluctant Wolverine to— Fuck. Synopses are so fucking stupid.
The film had a runtime of 2 hours and 7 minutes. It is rated R for “strong bloody violence and language throughout, gore, and sexual references.”
‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ tickets are now on sale at Fandango, AMC, IMAX, and Cinemark. The film will be released on IMAX, RealD 3D, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, Cinemark XD, and premium screens worldwide on July 26, 2024.
