Marvel’s ‘Echo‘ Season 1 is now available on Disney+. The final episode, titled “Maya,” features a post-credits scene that sets the stage for the upcoming MCU show, ‘Daredevil: Born Again‘.
What Happens at the End of ‘Echo’ Season 1?
At the end of episode 5, things change when Kingpin (played by Vincent D’Onofrio) comes to Tamaha and faces off with Maya (played by Alaqua Cox), who finds out she has special powers from her ancestors. Maya’s use of her ancestral powers to alleviate Fisk’s childhood trauma was a fascinating and unexpected twist in the finale.
The fight between Kingpin and Maya is a tie after she uses her healing powers on Fisk to help him deal with the bad stuff from his childhood that made him do something really bad to his dad. Kingpin and his guys run away from the Choctaw Powwow, and Maya gets to stay with her family without any problems.
What Happened at the Post-Credits of ‘Echo’?
In the Echo post-credits scene, Kingpin is on his private plane, maybe going back to New York. He talks about working with a lady who seems to help him. He tells them to get everyone together to fix things. Then, he watches TV about the race for the NYC mayor. On TV, people say New Yorkers want a mayor who fights for them, maybe even a tough one. They wonder if such a candidate exists. Kingpin looks interested, thinking about maybe running for NYC mayor.
Plot, “Echo’s gripping journey unfolds through poignant flashbacks in the series, unveiling a tragic car accident, the loss of her mother, and the loss of her leg. Her father’s ties to Kingpin and Echo’s training as an enforcer are revealed. Her history with Daredevil from her days under Kingpin’s influence is also explored.”
The first episode is directed by Sydney Freeland and the rest by Catriona McKenzie. Marion Dayre serves as the head writer. The show stars Cox as Maya Lopez, D’Onofrio as Kingpin, Charlie Cox as Daredevil, Zahn McClarnon as William Lopez, Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Devery Jacobs, Cody Lightning, and Graham Greene.
