After being on hold for a long time, the Midnight Sons project is finally back in development at Marvel Studios.
According to insider Daniel Richtman in a new Patreon post, Midnight Sons is reportedly back in development at Marvel after previously being put on hold. Michael Green, who was previously attached as the screenwriter, is reportedly no longer involved with the project.
Recently, Alex Perez (via The Cosmic Circus) revealed that the MCU’s next saga after Avengers: Secret Wars will focus on Cosmic, Mutants, and Supernatural themes. Side stories will serve as a foundation for introducing new characters and key elements for other productions, but the major events will revolve around these three central themes.

The Midnight Sons movie was expected to begin after the Blade movie, but the film has seen no progress in development. As of now, the production of Blade is on hold. Blade is expected to enter the MCU through Midnight Sons, without a standalone movie.
It is rumored that Oscar Isaac’s Moon Knight and Ghost Rider will reportedly appear in the Midnight Sons film. No actor has been cast for Ghost Rider yet.

In Marvel Comics, the Midnight Sons are a supernatural-themed superhero team. They first appeared in Ghost Rider Vol. 3 #28 (1992). The team deals with mystical threats — including demons, vampires, and occult forces — and features main members such as Ghost Rider, Blade, Doctor Strange, Morbius, Werewolf by Night, Hellstrom, Jennifer Kale, and Man-Thing. The plots often feature intense battles against powerful entities — including Lilith, Mephisto, and Zarathos.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Delroy Lindo, who was set to play a main character in the Blade movie, said his role had built and led a strong, self-made community.
Lindo didn’t reveal exactly which character he was going to play, but he hinted that the role had a “Marcus Garvey-like” quality to it.
Marvel has not made any official announcement about the Midnight Sons movie, and as of now, the film has no release date.
