Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day is now filming at Battersea Park in London.
The set images from Battersea Park revealed that a major scene is being filmed at the location. There is also a public notice: “Filming in progress.”

According to leaker UnBoxPHD, Tobey Maguire is currently in London, where Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Avengers: Doomsday are filming. Following his last appearance as Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Maguire is expected to reprise the role in either Brand New Day or Doomsday.
In a recent interview with THR, Mark Ruffalo, who returns as Hulk/Bruce Banner, said he’s excited to work with Jon Bernthal’s Punisher in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Ruffalo said, “I can’t wait to work with him, he’s so funny and he’s such a great actor. He plays that character like nobody else. I’m really excited to meet him — I’ve never met him!”
Kevin Feige, in an interview, said that the Punisher will appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day with a tone different from the darker TV version.
Feige said, “When Punisher is in the Spider-Man movie, it’ll be a different tonality.” He added, “I think there’s a promise at the end of No Way Home, that for as sad as it is that Peter is forgotten by everyone in his life, we are seeing, for the first time in the Tom Holland Spider-Man stories, him being a proper Spider-Man—being by himself, dedicated to saving the city, and dealing with, for lack of better terms, street-level crime as opposed to world-ending events… So when you do that, you ask, okay, who are the other street-level characters we’ve never seen him interact with? And of course, I love that the Punisher started in a Spider-Man comic. That great cover… I don’t want to say too much, but Destin—well, I will say too much—Destin is doing an amazing job right now on that movie, which starts shooting very soon. And he’s got eight or nine comic covers up on his wall in his art department that he is bringing to life in this movie, which is super cool.”
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton is directing the film from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The film stars Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon reprising their roles as MJ Watson and Ned Leeds. Sadie Sink joins the cast alongside Bernthal as Frank Castle (a.k.a. The Punisher) and Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Liza Colón-Zayas and Tramell Tillman have also been cast in undisclosed roles, while Michael Mando returns as Mac Gargan from Spider-Man: Homecoming. Additionally, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova will appear in the movie.
Here’s the new synopsis for Spider-Man: Brand New Day:
After the world has forgotten his name, Peter Parker (Holland) begins a new chapter in his life — balancing college classes, part-time work, and his responsibility as New York’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. But when a mysterious force begins to unravel the city from the inside out, Peter finds himself caught between powerful enemies, old legacies, and unexpected allies. As shadows from the past creep into his present, he must redefine what it truly means to be a hero — on his own.
The film is produced by Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Mitch Bell.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to hit theaters and IMAX on July 31, 2026.
