The second trailer for Marvel’s Thunderbolts* will be released on Sunday (February 9, 2025) during Super Bowl LIX or the following day.
According to insider @Cryptic4KQual, the new Thunderbolts* trailer will play in front of Captain America: Brave New World, which hits theaters on February 14.
The upcoming trailer will show Lewis Pullman‘s Sentry, who turns into the Void. The calm Bob Reynolds from the first trailer changes into the Void, which is his dark side and greatest enemy.
Directed by Jake Schreier and stars Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Wyatt Russell as John Walker/U.S. Agent, Olga Kurylenko as Antonia Dreykov/Taskmaster, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr/Ghost, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Harrison Ford as President Thaddeus Ross, Pullman as Sentry, and Geraldine Viswanathan as Erin. Laurence Fishburne and Rachel Weisz are confirmed to reprise their roles as scientist Bill Foster and spy Melina Vostakov.
In an interview with EW, Louis-Dreyfus said the Thunderbolts* movie will be a “completely different beast.” The film is filled with mystery, suspense, and surprises. She also described its vibe as “groovy.”
Louis-Dreyfus explained, “This movie is a real opportunity for me to explore the Val character. You really get to know what she’s made of, and even a lot of her backstory. She’s in it to win it.” She added with a smile, “You’re going to see her entire plan unfold. It has a lot of mystery to it, and there are some twists and turns you don’t see coming, which are the best kind. There’s a lot of suspense, which is very groovy.”

“Yelena Belova (Pugh), US Agent (Russell), Ghost (Starr), and Taskmaster (Kurylenko) are sent by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Louis-Dreyfus) to kill Sentry (Pullman) in a vault. They realize they’ve been set up and were meant to die on this mission. So they team up against their boss to take her down.”
The film is produced by Kevin Feige, Brian Chapek, Matthew Jenkins, David J. Grant, and Scarlett Johansson.
Thunderbolts* will hit theaters on May 2, 2025, in IMAX, RealD 3D, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, Cinemark XD, and premium screens worldwide.
