Warning: This article contains spoilers for the VisionQuest series.
The new official plot details for Marvel Television’s VisionQuest series reveal that it follows the events of WandaVision. After escaping those who wanted to use him as a weapon, Vision has been living in hiding. He is searching for a new purpose and meaning in life.
Vision’s peaceful life is shattered when a bounty is placed on his head. The bounty forces Vision to go on the run once again.
Here’s the plot description for VisionQuest:
“The Vision, rebooted and having escaped those who sought to use him as a weapon, has been in hiding. His quest for new meaning and discreet existence is interrupted when a bounty is placed on his head, forcing Vision to forge real connections and embrace found family if he’s to survive.”

Recently, insider Alex Perez (via The Cosmic Circus) reported that Ruaridh Mollica’s Tommy Maximoff/Speed will have a major role in the VisionQuest series. He said, “Tommy appears near the end of Episode 1 and continues to appear throughout the rest of the series. He is said to have a significant role in the show, similar to Joe Locke’s Wiccan in Agatha All Along.”
Paul Bettany said, “VisionQuest is the conclusion of the WandaVision trilogy. It’s a deeply personal story about identity, purpose, and what it means to be human. But with robots and lasers.”
Bettany says he’s really proud of VisionQuest.
“We’ve been in editorial for a long while now, and I keep seeing cuts of it that just are getting better and better. Then, as all the effects get placed… it’s funny, and it’s moving, and it’s super exciting, and [Terry Matalas] did a grand job.”

The VisionQuest footage shown at Disney Upfront reportedly featured Paul Bettany in his human form, revisiting Vision’s memories as though he were watching scenes from a movie. After regaining memories he never actually experienced as White Vision, he now sets out to rediscover what it truly means to be human.
The show, created by Terry Matalas for Disney+, is based on the Marvel Comics character Vision. A spin-off of WandaVision (2021), it is the 18th television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), produced by Marvel Studios under the Marvel Television label. Matalas serves as both showrunner and director.
Marvel’s VisionQuest is officially coming to Disney+ this October, as confirmed at Disney’s Upfront event. The series wraps up the trilogy started by WandaVision and Agatha All Along, while bringing together Vision, Wiccan, Agatha Harkness, Quicksilver, Ultron, and other beloved comic book characters.
