During a recent BBC radio interview on The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show featuring Smith, Davina McCall, Frank Skinner, Bradley, and Barney Walsh, a fan asked about the release date for House of the Dragon Season 2. In response, Smith replied, “I think it’s in August.“
Smith said, “August, I think, I think summer. This summer, yeah. I’ve not seen any of it yet, but we finished last year.”
‘House of the Dragon’ is serving as a prequel to ‘Game of Thrones.’ Set about 100 years after the Targaryen Conquest, it follows the events leading to the “Dance of the Dragons” war. The first season premiered in August 2022, and the series has been renewed for a second season by HBO, with Ryan Condal as the showrunner. The series was created by George R. R. Martin and Condal for HBO. According to reports, HBO is reportedly considering a Season 3 for ‘House of the Dragon’ after wrapping up Season 2.
During Brazil’s CCXP fan convention, the first teaser trailer for ‘House of the Dragon’ Season 2 was dropped. Episode 1, titled ‘A Son for a Son‘ and directed by Alan Taylor, showcases Daemon Targaryen (Smith) sneaking into King’s Landing to plan ‘Blood & Cheese’ in the second half.
