‘The Batman‘ spin-off ‘The Penguin‘ has officially been rated TV-MA. It also confirms the genres as “crime and drama“. According to reports, the filming for ‘The Penguin’ series has temporarily halted due to the ongoing WGA strike and will continue to remain on pause until the strike ends.

The series serves as a spin-off from the film ‘The Batman’ (2022). The show revolves around the rise to power of Oswald “Oz” Cobblepot/Penguin (played by Colin Farrell) in Gotham City’s criminal underworld. Produced by 6th & Idaho, DC Studios, and Dylan Clark Productions in collaboration with Warner Bros. Television Studios, the series is led by showrunner Lauren LeFranc. (See set images).

‘The Penguin’ also stars Cristin Milioti as Sofia Falcone, Clancy Brown as Salvatore Maroni, Michael Zegen as Alberto Falcone, Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Deirdre O’Connell, James Madio, Scott Cohen, Theo Rossi, Carmen Ejogo, François Chau, and David H. Holmes.
