Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One has grossed $383 million at the worldwide box office. The film earned an estimated $2.98 million on Friday from 3,191 locations, bringing its total domestic gross to $131.48 million.
Despite receiving good reviews, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One’s unexpected downfall was influenced by the success of Christopher Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer’ ($400 million worldwide gross) and Greta Gerwig‘s ‘Barbie‘ ($600 million worldwide gross).
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One received an A rating on CinemaScore and scored 96% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Greta Gerwig’s ‘Barbie’ has surpassed $630 million worldwide. The film earned an estimated $29.0 million on Friday from 4,337 locations, bringing its total domestic gross to approximately $287.40 million. The film set a record by crossing half a billion in under a week.
Directed by Christopher McQuarrie and co-written by McQuarrie and Erik Jendresen, the film stars Tom Cruise as the iconic character Ethan Hunt.
