Murray Bartlett (‘Ponyboi’, ‘The Stand In’) and Amy Adams (‘Disenchanted’, ‘The Woman in the Window’) are set to star in Kornel Mundruczó and Kata Wéber‘s new drama ‘At the Sea‘. Mundruczó and Wéber are the writers and directors of acclaimed films such as ‘Pieces of a Woman‘ and ‘White God’. The filming is scheduled to begin in Boston in June 2024.
What is ‘At the Sea’ About?
In ‘At the Sea,’ Laura (Adams), after a long rehabilitation, returns to her family at their beach holiday home, where she has to readjust to the complicated life she left behind. Now she is forced to face the next chapter of her life without the career that gave her fame, fortune, and, most importantly, identity. As per Deadline, Bartlett is playing the role of Laura’s husband.
The film is produced by Alexander Rodnyansky of AR Content, Stuart Manashil, Aaron Ryder, and Andrew Swett for Ryder Picture Company, Hammerstone Studios’ Alex Lebovici and Jon Oakes, and Viktória Petrányi and Mundruczó. Executive producers are Paul J. Diaz, Maria Breese of 3:33 Creative, Lee Broda of LB Entertainment, Jeff Rice of Jeff Rice Films, and Michael Kupisk. Zsofi Oblath and Rachel Rubin will co-produce.
The pic is financed by AR Content, Paul J. Diaz, and Hammerstone Studios, with WME Independent representing domestic rights, Capstone Pictures handling international rights, and Sacker Law overseeing production legalities.
As of now, the release date for ‘At the Sea’ is TBA. We can expect the film’s theatrical release in 2025. Stay tuned on this page for more updates.
