Netflix is developing ‘The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish,’ a series that follows 10-year-old Hazel Wells in Dimmadelphia, with Cosmo and Wanda coming out of retirement.
In July 2023, Daran Norris, the voice behind characters like Cosmo and Timmy’s dad, confirmed on Ned’s Declassified Podcast that a new project for ‘The Fairly OddParents’ is in development. Following the recent spin-off ‘Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder,’ Norris said, “We’re in the process of doing something new.”
According to the plot synopsis:
‘The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish’ follows Wanda and Cosmo coming out of retirement to grant wishes for Hazel, a 10-year-old girl who has moved to Dimmadelphia.
Susanne Blakeslee and Norris return as Wanda and Cosmo, coming out of retirement to grant wishes for Hazel. Ashleigh Crystal Hairston voices Hazel, with Butch Hartman and Fred Seibert as executive producers.
‘The Fairly OddParents’ is a popular animated TV series on Nickelodeon about a boy named Timmy Turner who has two fairy godparents, Cosmo and Wanda, granting his wishes and leading to humorous adventures. The show, created by Butch Hartman, ran for ten seasons from 2001 to 2017.
