A Netflix anime series adaptation of ‘Scott Pilgrim’ is officially in the works, with original cast members Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Satya Bhabha, Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans, Anna Kendrick, Brie Larson, Aubrey Plaza, and more officially returning.
According to Netflix, the anime is based on the comic series Scott Pilgrim by Bryan Lee O’Malley, starring the cast of the 2010 film, who lend their voices to their iconic characters. The series is executive produced by Edgar Wright and animated by Devilman Crybaby studio Science Saru.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World was released in 2010, directed by Edgar Wright, based on the graphic novel series of the same name by Bryan Lee O’Malley. The film follows, Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera), a slacker and bassist in the band Sex Bob-omb, as he falls in love with Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), a mysterious and enigmatic girl who has recently moved to Toronto. In order to win Ramona’s heart, Scott must defeat her seven evil exes in a series of epic video game-inspired battles. Along the way, Scott must also confront his own insecurities and immaturity, as well as navigate the complexities of his relationships with his bandmates, friends, and ex-girlfriend Knives Chau (Ellen Wong).
