Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday has begun its first filming schedule in London.
According to insider @MyTimeToShineHello on X, the Russo brothers are currently filming a fight scene between Magneto (Ian McKellen) and Doctor Doom (Robert Downey Jr.) in Avengers: Doomsday.
As we reported, the first scenes are being filmed at the X-Mansion, with the X-Men wearing comic-accurate suits. Marvel has already announced that several popular X-Men actors will return in Avengers: Doomsday, including McKellen (Magneto), Kelsey Grammer (Beast), James Marsden (Cyclops), Channing Tatum (Gambit), Rebecca Romijn (Mystique), Patrick Stewart (Professor X), and Alan Cumming (Nightcrawler).

Is Doctor Doom going to take out the X-Men first? Of course — he sees the X-Men as a major threat and would likely fight the mutants. What if Doctor Doom kills Magneto and Professor X at the beginning of Avengers: Doomsday?
Marvel President Kevin Feige revealed at CinemaCon 2025 that Avengers: Doomsday will focus on the Avengers, Wakandans, Fantastic Four, the New Avengers (Thunderbolts), and the original X-Men all uniting to fight Doctor Doom.
A recent leak from X user @UnBoxPHD revealed that the Avengers: Doomsday house is referred to as the Iron Fist House (1960s). The leak also included images of a mysterious part of the Avengers: Doomsday house entrance set and its water fountains.
Directed by Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator, Stephen McFeely. Newton Thomas Sigel (Bohemian Rhapsody, X-Men: Days of Future Past) will be the cinematographer.

In Avengers: Doomsday, the MCU will begin its end. As the multiverse teeters on the brink of total collapse, the Avengers must reunite to face their greatest threat yet — incursions, catastrophic collisions between realities that threaten to annihilate the entire multiverse. Earth’s Mightiest Heroes must race against time to save their reality while confronting the powerful force behind it all: Victor Von Doom (Downey Jr.).
