A new footage from Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday has leaked online, featuring Robert Downey Jr.‘s Doctor Doom, Chris Evans‘ Steve Rogers, Chris Hemsworth‘s Thor, Anthony Mackie‘s Captain America, Alan Cumming‘s Nightcrawler, Florence Pugh‘s Yelena Belova, Rebecca Romijn‘s Mystique, James Marsden‘s Cyclops, Channing Tatum‘s Gambit, Simu Liu‘s Shang-Chi, and Pedro Pascal‘s Mr. Fantastic.
Last week, the second trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day leaked online. Now, pixelated footage from Doomsday has appeared online with no sound. After checking the footage, it seems to be real and not AI-generated. It shows Doctor Doom controlling the Sentinels to fight the Avengers.
In the footage, which is set in the X-Men universe, Doctor Doom hits the ground and uses green magic. Thor gets up and helps Steve Rogers, who now has long hair and a beard, stand up. They watch as Doom’s magic spreads into the Sentinels, bringing them to life with glowing green eyes. Yelena sees the Sentinels rising, while Shang-Chi gets ready to fight. Doom then floats down from the sky.
Steve Rogers looks at the Sentinels and prepares for battle. The camera shows Beast standing next to Cyclops, who reaches for his visor. Nightcrawler appears behind Cyclops and brings Mystique into the fight, followed by Sam Wilson. Reed Richards is also there.
The camera pulls back to show everyone together, similar to the famous “Avengers Assemble” moment. Cyclops fires an optic blast at a Sentinel. The Sentinels begin attacking in return, and a huge battle breaks out before the scene ends.
Here’s the official synopsis for Avengers: Doomsday:
“Beloved heroes from three distinct universes (Earth-616, Earth-828, and Earth-10005) will be set on a deadly collision course and face an existential threat unlike anything they’ve ever encountered.”
In an interview with Deadline, director Joe Russo confirmed that work on Avengers: Doomsday is still ongoing, with post-production and final adjustments currently underway.
Joe Russo said, “We are doing some work still on Doomsday and will be until probably they rip it out of our hands in November… We’re in the middle of what we would call pre-production on Secret Wars.”
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron.
