Tom Holland says Spider-Man: Brand New Day is “the best Spider-Man movie ever made.”

In an interview with Empire, Kevin Feige said that Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the first MCU Spider-Man film to be “focused on the classic elements of Spider-Man.”
He said, “He’s doing the Spidey thing of living in a rather sad, small apartment, listening to the police scanner, going out, and using his great power responsibly.”
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The film stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon reprising their roles as MJ Watson and Ned Leeds. Sadie Sink joins the cast alongside Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle (a.k.a. The Punisher) and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Liza Colón-Zayas and Tramell Tillman, while Michael Mando returns as Mac Gargan from Spider-Man: Homecoming and Marvin Jones III has been confirmed to play the role of Tombstone. Additionally, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova will appear in the movie.
Here are the plot details for Spider-Man: Brand New Day:
After the record-breaking global success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks an entirely new chapter for Peter Parker and Spider-Man.
Four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves. Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he has devoted himself entirely to protecting his city — a full-time Spider-Man — but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.
The film is produced by Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Mitch Bell.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to hit theaters and IMAX on July 31, 2026.
