Marvel Studios has released the second trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, no longer hiding Savage Hulk’s appearance and giving fans their first official look at Mark Ruffalo‘s Hulk.
In the trailer, Bruce Banner appears as a physics professor at Empire State University, where Peter Parker is a student. Due to the spell cast in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Banner no longer remembers Peter.

Banner wears a gamma inhibitor device on his wrist—an upgraded version of the one seen in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and the Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings post-credits scene—to remain in human form. Peter turns to Banner for help with his unstable DNA mutation, as his powers continue to evolve, causing black eyes, intense pain, and cocoon-like transformations. Banner scans Peter and offers guidance as an expert on radiation and transformation.

In the trailer, Banner’s gamma inhibitor appears to be ripped off or damaged, possibly by Sadie Sink’s mysterious character, who seems to trigger his transformation. Bruce transforms into the Savage Hulk right in front of Peter inside a confined room. The classic green, rage-fueled Hulk grows to an enormous size as Peter reacts in shock, saying, “I did not know you could get that big.”

The trailer also features brief glimpses of Hulk causing massive destruction, including what appears to be his iconic Thunderclap attack. The sequence appears to draw inspiration from The Amazing Spider-Man #119 comic.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The film stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon reprising their roles as MJ Watson and Ned Leeds. Sadie Sink joins the cast alongside Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle (a.k.a. The Punisher) and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Liza Colón-Zayas and Tramell Tillman, while Michael Mando returns as Mac Gargan from Spider-Man: Homecoming and Marvin Jones III has been confirmed to play the role of Tombstone. Additionally, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova will appear in the movie.
Here are the plot details for Spider-Man: Brand New Day:
After the record-breaking global success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks an entirely new chapter for Peter Parker and Spider-Man.
Four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves. Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he has devoted himself entirely to protecting his city — a full-time Spider-Man — but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.
The film is produced by Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Mitch Bell.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to hit theaters and IMAX on July 31, 2026.
