The finale of Welcome to Derry will be released in a few hours, and major spoiler details for the episode reveal Pennywise’s power to see the future.
In Welcome to Derry Episode 8, titled “Winter Fire,” Ronnie’s (Veronica’s) character dies after being trapped in the underground tunnels. Pennywise torments her with horrific illusions as she sees terrifying images and begins to scream, at which point she disappears along with a group of other dead children.

Pennywise uses the dead to guide each character into the future. For example, he shows Maggie that she will become Richie’s mother, revealing hidden family ties.
To Lily, he shows a terrifying fate, hinting that she may end up in a mental institution, enduring intense psychological and physical suffering.
Pennywise has the ability to see the Macroverse, allowing him to view the past, present, and future. He even foresees his eventual defeat at the hands of the Losers’ Club and attempts to change his own destiny.
The show was developed by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Jason Fuchs, all of whom were involved in the It films. It is based on Stephen King‘s 1986 novel It and serves as a prequel to the films It (2017) and It Chapter Two (2019).
