Sony Pictures Entertainment released the new red band trailer for “No Hard Feelings,” starring Jennifer Lawrence like you’ve never seen her before. Watch the trailer below.
The R-rated comedy is directed by Gene Stupnitsky (Good Boys) from a screenplay by John Phillips. The film follows Maddie (Lawrence), who thinks she’s found the answer to her financial troubles when she discovers an intriguing job listing: wealthy helicopter parents looking for someone to “date” their introverted 19-year-old son, Percy, and bring him out of his shell before he leaves for college. But awkward Percy proves to be more of a challenge than she expected, and time is running out. She has one summer to make him a man or lose it all.
Most recently, Lawrence revealed why she chose a theatrical release instead of streaming for her r-rated film “No Hard Feelings.” Lawrence told APN News that, “I look much better at 12 feet high.”
The film also stars Andrew Barth Feldman as Percy, Matthew Broderick as Percy’s father, Laura Benanti as Percy’s mother, Natalie Morales as a friend of Maddie, Scott MacArthur as a friend of Maddie, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Gary, Hasan Minhaj, and Kyle Mooney.
Lawrence recently revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that she found a real-life Craigslist ad so hilarious that she couldn’t stop laughing. The ad served as inspiration for the R-rated ‘No Hard Feelings’ directed by her longtime friend Gene Stupnitsky. Lawrence said, “Gene read the Craigslist ad to me, and I died laughing.” Lawrence added, “I thought it was hilarious, but there wasn’t a script or anything. I just thought he had a funny idea. And then, a couple of years later, he handed me the funniest script I’ve ever read in my life.”
The film is produced by Alex Saks, Naomi Odenkirk, Marc Provissiero, Jennifer Lawrence, and Justine Ciarrocchi. John Phillips and Kerry Orent are executive producers.
“No Hard Feelings” will hit theaters on June 23, 2023.
