Lionsgate International is set to begin AFM sales for ‘Now You See Me 3,’ with Ruben Fleischer directing and Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, and Morgan Freeman returning.
Directed by Fleischer, the script is penned by Michael Lesslie (known for ‘Assassin’s Creed‘ and ‘Macbeth‘) for the crime mystery franchise, featuring illusions and globe-trotting heists led by new and returning Horsemen. Alex Kurtzman and Bobby Cohen are returning as producers.
Fleischer is known for his work on films like ‘Venom,’ ‘Uncharted,’ and ‘Zombieland,’ and for producing an episode of ‘The Good Doctor‘ this year.
The ‘Now You See Me’ movie series, consisting of ‘Now You See Me‘ (2013) and its sequel, ‘Now You See Me 2‘ (2016), has a total box office collection of over $685 million worldwide.
Recently, it was reported that Lionsgate is set to debut sales at the AFM for Chad Stahelski’s ‘Highlander’ Reboot. The film stars Henry Cavill in the lead role as the Scottish swordsman. Cavill and Stahelski were on board before the SAG-AFTRA strike.
The release date for “Now You See Me 3” is to be announced (TBA).
