Peacemaker Season 2 has premiered on HBO Max.
According to Samba TV, the Season 2 premiere of Peacemaker saw a 22% jump in viewership compared to the Season 1 finale. Currently at 99% on Rotten Tomatoes, it is one of the highest-rated DC projects ever.
“Season two of Peacemaker blasted onto HBO Max with 22% more U.S. households tuning in over its first four days than the Season 1 finale in 2022.”
James Gunn, the showrunner of the show, has revealed that the last three episodes of Peacemaker Season 2 have many surprises.

Gunn said, “I am the one who’s keeping the last three episodes from everybody because there are too many surprises in those last three episodes. Especially 6 and 8—they are just crazy. My favorite things I have ever done are Episodes 6 and 8, and I just can’t wait for people to see them.”
For those watching the show, there is a big surprise ahead. We can reveal that Season 1 is officially canon to the DCU, with the Justice League being replaced by the Justice Gang. The new team includes Mr. Terrific (Edi Gathegi), Green Lantern (Nathan Fillion), Hawkgirl (Isabela Merced), Superman (David Corenswet), and Supergirl (Milly Alcock).
In Season 2, Christopher Smith/Peacemaker (Cena) discovers an alternate world where life is everything he wishes it could be. But this discovery also forces him to face his traumatic past and take the future into his own hands.

Guest stars include Merced as Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl, Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, and Sean Gunn as Maxwell Lord.
Gunn wrote all eight episodes of Peacemaker and directed three, including the first. Gunn, Peter Safran, and Cena serve as executive producers. Greg Mottola, Peter Sollett, and Althea Jones also direct.
