James Gunn‘s Man of Tomorrow is now in the post-production stage, and Gunn is working on major fixes. There are reports that Gunn conducted research into the negative criticism of his 2025 Superman movie and attempted to address the main points of criticism. The change in cinematographer would reportedly be a result of this.
According to a scooper on X, Mundos da DC, who shared exclusive details and a few spoilers about Man of Tomorrow, here are the details: Man of Tomorrow will be the first major event film of the DCU, serving as a major crossover between the Superman, Supergirl, and Lanterns productions.
The film’s tone is described as “much more mature, dense, and epic” than the first movie. It is also said to be closer in tone to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 than to 2025’s Superman. The main fix is reportedly improved cinematography compared to the first movie.
Man of Tomorrow will have an action sequence where Lex Luthor gets involved in a prison fight, with Nicholas Hoult appearing shirtless and showing Lex’s physique.
Brainiac’s visual design was described to me as “terrifying.” The villain’s appearance will be capable of conveying a sense of fear to the general audience.
Aaron Pierre’s John Stewart will have a major role in the story, including a suit described as “comic-accurate.”
Adria Arjona Reportedly Confirmed as Wonder Woman in ‘Man of Tomorrow’
There have been several questions among fans about whether Wonder Woman will appear in Man of Tomorrow. It is confirmed that Adria Arjona is playing Wonder Woman. Arjona and Eva de Dominici were finalists during tests for Maxima, which were secretly actually for Wonder Woman.
Captain Atom is expected to appear in the film, receiving some kind of medal or military decoration. A larger context for the scene has not yet been revealed.
We will also see a scene where Clark helps his father, Jonathan Kent, who will be in a wheelchair.
