Warning: This post contains potential spoilers for Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars.
Marvel Studios is reportedly keeping Avengers: Secret Wars as one massive event, as current rumors about splitting it into two parts are not true.
As per the studio, the split plans are not going to work, as they would require scheduling a huge cast and a massive budget.

According to The InSneider report, Marvel Studios is not planning to split Avengers: Secret Wars into two movies. There are two main reasons: it would be very difficult to coordinate the schedules of such a large cast, and bringing back Robert Downey Jr. would be extremely expensive due to his high salary.
Jeff Sneider wrote, “No. As of right now, Marvel is not planning to split Avengers: Secret Wars into two films. That may have been mentioned by someone, somewhere along the chain of power, but it’s not being seriously discussed in Burbank due to the difficulty of scheduling the enormous cast — not to mention the prospect of having to pay Robert Downey Jr.’s even more enormous salary again. This is for the best, as I feel that such a move would bite them in the ass with audiences, who would smell the corporate greed from a mile away.”
Last year, we reported that Marvel Studios is paying $80 million to the Russo Brothers (Anthony Russo and Joe Russo) to direct Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. Meanwhile, Robert Downey Jr. will be paid “significantly more” — and this does not include back-end compensation from the eventual box office.
According to Filmbase.uk, Avengers: Secret Wars is scheduled to begin filming at Pinewood Studios this summer.
Here’s the plot details for Avengers: Secret Wars:
Eight years after Avengers: Doomsday, all universes crash together and form one world called Battleworld. A very powerful Doctor Doom controls this world. Evil versions of heroes appear, and the Infinity Stones return, with the Soul Stone being the most powerful. The remaining Avengers and Champions team up to stop Doom. He has taken Reed Richards’ family and built a huge prison to hold heroes and villains. As everything begins to break apart, the only safe places left may be the Quantum Realm and the ships of the Time Variance Authority.
