Warning: This post contains potential spoilers for the upcoming X-Men reboot.
The pre-production for Marvel’s X-Men movie has already begun. The MCU’s X-Men will have “much larger than just cameos” roles in Avengers: Secret Wars. The material for them is reportedly bigger than what most people are bracing for.
According to insider Daniel Richtman, Mister Sinister will reportedly have a connection to Scott Summers/Cyclops in the upcoming X-Men movie. Adam Driver will play Nathaniel Milbury in the movie.

In Marvel Comics, Mister Sinister has a strong connection to Cyclops, as he believes the Summers bloodline is essential to creating the ultimate mutant. His obsession with Scott began during his childhood and continued well into Cyclops’ adult life.
Before the X-Men movie, Driver’s Mister Sinister will reportedly have a “big role” in Avengers: Secret Wars. Scooper James Mack has reported that Mister Sinister will be one of the film’s secondary villains.
James also claims that Marvel Studios is considering developing a series or special presentation centered on Kitty Pryde.
The main premise is: “After years in hiding out of fear of rejection and persecution, the mutants would finally step out of the shadows to save the world and prove they’re not a threat.”
Marvel President Kevin Feige revealed the initial cast of the X-Men movie during the Disney D23 event, including Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Kit Connor as Cyclops, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, Maya Boyd as Storm, Christopher Abbott as Professor X, and Adam Driver as Nathaniel Milbury/Mr. Sinister.
Magneto’s MCU Origin Could Be Reimagined Around Modern Social Issues

Marvel Studios may be changing Magneto’s origin for the MCU, with the new story will be addressing current social issues.
As we heard, Magneto could be portrayed as a refugee or immigrant due to the challenges of adapting his traditional history to the MCU’s timeline. According to Deadline, Lee Pace, Henry Cavill, and Matt Smith are reportedly among the actors being considered to portray Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto.
Recently, Alex Perez (via The Cosmic Circus) reported that Marvel President Kevin Feige wants to assemble the five core members of the X-Men, along with some additions:
“The idea is to get the original five members together (with some additions), and basically establish a coming-of-age story where these characters who have been in hiding due to fear of rejection or persecution are finally stepping out of the shadows to save the world and prove that not ALL mutants are bad.”
The current working title for Marvel’s X-Men reboot is reportedly “Chunnel.” Directed by Jake Schreier, with Lee Sung Jin, Joanna Cole, and Michael Lessie serving as co-writers, Sanja Milkovic Hays as costume designer, Kasra Farahani as production designer, Pat Scola as cinematographer, and the Russo Brothers as consultants.
The X-Men movie will be released exclusively in theaters on May 5, 2028.
