The fourth installment in The Chronicles of Riddick film series is currently in development. Titled ‘Riddick: Furya,’ it serves as a sequel to 2013’s Riddick.
According to The Wrap, ‘Riddick: Furya’ will begin filming in August 2024. The shoot locations are currently planned in Germany, Spain, and the U.K. Vin Diesel reprises his role as the eponymous character Richard B. Riddick, the last of the Furyan race and a notorious criminal outlaw.
The film will be directed by David Twohy from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jim Wheat and Ken Wheat. As of now, the confirmed cast includes lead star Diesel; the rest of the cast will be announced during production.
What is the Plot of ‘Riddick: Furya’?
According to the official synopsis of ‘Riddick: Furya’: “Riddick (Diesel) finally returns to his homeworld, a place he barely remembers and one he fears might be left in ruins. But there he finds other Furyans fighting for their existence against a new monster. And some of these Furyans are more like Riddick than he could have ever imagined.”
It is also confirmed that the TV show based on ‘Riddick’ is in development.
