The first trailer for Scream 7 will premiere in theaters on September 5, 2025, alongside The Conjuring: Last Rites.
According to a reliable source, the trailer for Scream 7 has already been sent to theaters. Also, insider Daniel Richtman confirmed that the trailer will officially release this month.
On X, Cris Parker (@3CFilmss) shared a leaked description of the Scream 7 trailer. It begins with a couple arriving at an Airbnb for the weekend, which turns out to be Stu Macher’s iconic house—now transformed into a tourist attraction. A Ghostface animatronic scares the couple, but soon, the real Ghostface appears and attacks them.

Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) is then introduced with her family, including her eldest daughter, Tatum Prescott. The trailer focuses on Sidney balancing life as a mother, wife, and business owner.
Next, Tatum’s group of friends—played by McKenna Grace (Hannah), Celeste O’Connor (Chloe), Asa Germann (Lucas), and Sam Rechner (Ben)—is introduced. Everything seems fine until Sidney receives a call with Ghostface’s voice, which she initially believes is just a prank. The killer then FaceTimes her to prove it’s real and unmasks himself—revealing that Stu Macher is behind the killings.
Sidney and Gale are later shown visiting a psychiatric hospital as part of the investigation. The trailer also reveals Sidney giving an interview to Gale on her talk show, as she opens up about her past, haunted by multiple Ghostfaces. From here, the plot splits: on one side, Sidney and Gale investigate Ghostface’s identity, while on the other, Tatum and her friends attempt to solve the mystery themselves.

Ghostface attacks are also shown inside the Pine Grove High School auditorium, as well as in a house sequence referencing Scream 4. Tatum and her friends witness an attack that echoes the fates of Jill, Kirby, and Olivia. In a tense moment, Sidney guides her daughter Tatum through their house using interior security cameras while Ghostface stalks her in the dark.
The trailer also features Chad, Mindy, and Sidney’s best friend Jessica, played by Anna Camp.
The film is directed by Kevin Williamson and written by Guy Busick, based on a story by James Vanderbilt and Busick. It serves as a sequel to Scream VI (2023) and is the seventh installment in the Scream film series.
The cast includes Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott, Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers, Mason Gooding as Chad Meeks-Martin, Jasmin Savoy Brown as Mindy Meeks-Martin, Roger L. Jackson as the voice of Ghostface, Isabel May as Sidney’s daughter, Joel McHale as Mark Evans (Sidney’s husband), and David Arquette as Dewey Riley. Matthew Lillard and Scott Foley, who previously portrayed Stu Macher and Roman Bridger in Scream (1996) and Scream 3 (2000) respectively, have also been cast in undisclosed roles.
Produced by Paramount Pictures, Radio Silence Productions, and Spyglass.
Scream 7 will be released in theaters on February 27, 2026, by Paramount Pictures.
