Sony Pictures released a new trailer for ‘Gran Turismo,’ directed by Neill Blomkamp. The film follows Archie Madekwe, who plays Jann Mardenborough, a Gran Turismo player. Jann’s gaming skills earned him a chance to become a professional race car driver through Nissan-sponsored video game competitions. Watch the trailer below.
What is the Plot of Gran Turismo?
According to the film’s plot, Gran Turismo is based on the unbelievable true story of a team of unlikely underdogs – a struggling working-class gamer (Archie Madekwe), a failed former racecar driver (David Harbour), and an idealistic motorsport executive (Orlando Bloom). Together, they risk it all to take on the most elite sport in the world. Gran Turismo is an inspiring, thrilling, and action-packed story that proves that nothing is impossible when you’re fueled from within.
‘Gran Turismo’ film development started in 2013, with Joseph Kosinski initially set to direct. After delays, Neill Blomkamp took over as director. Filming occurred in Hungary from November to December 2022, with Lorne Balfe composing the score. See the posters below.
