The VOD release date for Sony’s Kraven the Hunter has been revealed. The film will be available for purchase or rental on digital HD platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, Vudu, and Google Play Movies & TV, starting February 25, 2025.
The film is the sixth and final installment in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (SSU). It received a 15% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, a 5.5/10 on IMDb, and a 33% on Metacritic. Directed by J.C. Chandor from a screenplay by Richard Wenk, Art Marcum and Matt Holloway.
What is the Plot of Kraven the Hunter?
In Kraven the Hunter, Kraven (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) is recruited by Calypso (Ariana DeBose) to stop a corrupt magnate named Gregory Herd (Alessandro Nivola) from doing something bad called the Gathering of the Five. Herd hires two people, the Foreigner and the Chameleon (Fred Hechinger), to stop Kraven. Later, Kraven finds out that the Chameleon is his brother, and their father, Nikolai Kravinoff (Russell Crowe), is the real villain and Herd’s boss. Calypso also works for Nikolai and tricks Kraven so that Nikolai can sacrifice him. But then Calypso falls in love with Kraven and helps him fight Nikolai.
