Destin Daniel Cretton, director of the upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day, has revealed that the movie will continue directly from the emotional ending of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
In a recent interview with WHO LET US OUT, Cretton confirmed that Spider-Man: Brand New Day picks up emotionally where the last one ended. The story will focus on Peter Parker entering a new phase of his life, and Cretton describes this chapter as deeply relatable and personal.
Cretton said, “We are exploring a time in Peter Parker’s life that I find incredibly relatable, where he is learning to step into a new phase in life. You’ll all learn more very soon.”
Last year, Cretton already hinted that Spider-Man: Brand New Day will have an emotional storyline. “The film will be a ride that we haven’t really seen before.”
Recently, Cretton opened up about Tom Holland‘s performance in Brand New Day.

He said, “I am really excited for everybody to see Tom Holland in this movie because he killed it. His performance is incredible. He went to places that I think people, fans, and anyone who watches the movie will feel very connected to, especially with the emotions we’re exploring.”
Here’s the plot synopsis for Spider-Man: Brand New Day:
