Tom Hiddleston‘s Loki, who is now protecting the timelines in the MCU, is in big trouble, as Robert Downey Jr.‘s Doctor Doom is locating him and taking his throne in Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday.
According to scooper @MyTimeToShineH, “In Avengers: Doomsday, Doctor Doom kills everyone at the TVA, including Loki.”
Loki has “died” multiple times in the MCU. Many believed Infinity War marked his final appearance. Yet after Endgame, his story continued in a surprising way. In Loki Season 2, he sacrifices himself in another sense — destroying the unstable Temporal Loom and holding the infinite timelines together as the God of Stories.
We have already reported that at the end of Doomsday, Doctor Doom takes Loki’s powers. As worlds collide and universes shatter, nothing remains — only Doom.
Loki will reportedly have only a few scenes in Doomsday. Following Endgame, Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers is living a quiet life with Peggy and their son when Loki arrives. Now in control of the timelines, Loki explains that the TVA sees Steve’s presence as a mistake and intends to erase the timeline. Loki gives Steve a choice — relocate to a different universe where he and his family can live without being hunted. They are sent to Earth-828, the Fantastic Four’s world.
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron.
